Do you know what I admire the most about Yavanna? How she stands up for herself. How she cares about the domain entrusted to her, about everything that grows. She is not afraid to fight for plants and animals.
Even after the creation of Valinor, she did not forget about Middle-earth and the creatures that lived there. She healed wounds inflicted on Arda by Morghoth. It was thanks to her care and prayers that Eru created the Ents, the Shepherds of the Trees, who were to protect them.
Yavanna can be an inspiration to fight for our little places on earth. Even something as minor as picking up rubbish and tossing it in the bin is a way to protect everything that grows.
When we look at trees, flowers, birds soaring in the blue sky, our hearts are filled with joy and we find rest in this sight. Do you also have a similar experience? Does being in nature “recharge your batteries”?
